"Amanda is not only the best acting teacher I have had, but one of the best teachers I've had in any subject. Amanda taught me an 'Introduction to Acting' course. I was somewhat tentative, having never really acted before. I could not have asked for a more sensitive, personable and aware teacher to have fostered the incredibly fragile moment of opening up to a group of strangers.
Her ability to get people to open up to a group is something I have rarely seen. Her most obvious strength is her personality, her resplendent and yet self-effacing charm. Amanda gets the best out of her students because she is able to make a personal connection. One feels completely relaxed in her presence, and yet very awake and receptive. I know other teachers find it incredibly difficult to achieve this. Amanda has a great sensitivity towards the individual as it exists in the group. What impresses me is that, under the gracious and personable exterior, it is clear there is the passionate seriousness of someone who is deeply involved with their craft, which encompasses not only a knowledge of the techniques of acting, but a concern for how those techniques can be taught.
She has an acute dramatic sensibility grounded by the instinct and the knowledge of how to achieve her vision. You get the impression that even the most shy and awkward candidate would be fit for the stage after Amanda had finished with them. As for myself, at the end of the course I felt I had not only the confidence to perform, but the tools to develop. I felt I had overcome certain barriers in myself, and come to know myself better: what I was capable of, and more importantly, what I might possibly be capable of if I put my mind to it."

"I had initially worked with Amanda together with a group and instantly fell in love with the way in which she conducted her classes. After the classes ceased, I decided to continue my work with her privately. Not only is Amanda professional providing insightful advice and technique, she is also kind and funny, transforming a simple class into a wonderful experience. I would recommend her to anyone who seeks to enhance their theatre skills."
- Gabriella Paschoal, Acting student
"Amanda is an incredibly gifted and generous actor, practitioner and arts educationalist. Her passion and commitment to nurturing her craft is inspiring and she is an asset to any team that she works in. I know Amanda in both a personal and professional context and on both levels she gives 100% in everything that she works on. Amanda is an exciting actor to work with- she is not afraid to takes risks- yet does so with care, sensitivity and integrity."
